Game: MMORPG

Release Date: June 2003-Dec 2011

Platforms: PC

During my time on Star Wars Galaxies (2007-2009), I contributed to both system design and content creation for the live game. I led major overhauls to the Housing System and Cybernetics System, and was instrumental in the design and implementation of the Collection System, a key feature that enhanced long-term player engagement.

In addition to systems work, I designed and built high-profile content including The Battle for Echo Base and the Exar Kun Heroic Instance, delivering memorable, lore-driven experiences for Star Wars fans.

Collections System:
Designed and implemented a robust collection system with hundreds of collections.
Populated the game with collection drops and exploration finds.
Some collections granted XP whereas others granted rewards like titles, weapons, pets, DNA, housing items, abilities, etc.

Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game:
Implemented various in-game rewards for rare loot cards found in the Trading Card Game. Each item created had unique functionality that made it a desirable loot card.

Battle of Echo Base:
Designed and implemented the iconic Battle of Hoth
Players could take part in either the Rebel or Imperial assault, with the mission adapting to their chosen faction. The encounter spanned the full scope of the battle; from the open-field clash featuring AT-ATs, AT-STs, and Snowspeeders, to the tense interior defense sequences as the Rebels carried out their escape. The result was a dynamic recreation of one of Star Wars’ most memorable conflicts.

Housing System Revamp:
Refactored and updated various systems to improve the Housing and City system in Star Wars Galaxies. Including City Mayor capabilities, Voting, City Management, Housing Pack-up, and various other tools to assist with player cities
